Car/motorbike round trip

Day 1   Travel independently to Davos, the highest town in the Alps, and settle into your hotel. Time for initial exploring. → Sunstar Parkhotel Davos**** with Spa Centre.

Day 2   The Flüela and Albula mountain passes and the Swiss National Park with the Visitor Centre are the high points of this short introductory round trip. (120 km) → Davos

Day 3   Today you leave Davos and drive via the Julier, Maloja and Splügen passes to Flims. A stop in famous St. Moritz by the Upper Engadin lakes, and a visit to the impressive Viamala Gorge are both a must. (210 km) → Sunstar Hotel Flims**** with leisure pool

Day 4   A day trip will take you up a road with 360 bends to the popular holiday resort of Arosa. It is worth making a diversion to visit Chur, Switzerland's oldest town. (100 km) → Flims

Day 5   The most impressive leg of the journey takes you via the Oberalp and Susten passes right into the heart of the Swiss Alps. You can visit really traditional places like Meiringen or the wood-carving village of Brienz (with the Ballenberg Open-Air Museum). Then drive along Lake Brienz and via Interlaken to Grindelwald. Day 6   Enjoy the whole day as you please in the Jungfrau Region, walking, taking a boat ride (Lake Brienz or Lake Thun) or a mountain railway (e.g. up to the Jungfraujoch at 3,454 m, the highest railway station in Europe). Another option would be a circular drive over the Grimsel Pass into the Valais. From there, you can come back through the Lötschberg Tunnel. (220 km) → Grindelwald

Day 7   The theme of this day is "from mountains to lakes". You drive along Lake Thun and through the Simmental valley to world-famous Gstaad with its car-free village promenade. The last mountain pass of this tour takes you to Lake Geneva, past the Castle of Chillon to Montreux. → Sunstar partner hotel Golf-Hôtel René Capt**** in Montreux

Day 8   The end of your round trip by car/motor bike: make your own way home or extend your holiday.
